Howdy! I'm Laura, the Rōnin of sports. I'm relatively new to the off-road driving scene but have enjoyed a few years tearing up and down the mountains in remote NC as well getting to those hard-to-reach places across the country for different adventures. Up until now my driving experience otherwise has been Land Rover courses in Asheville and drag racing (poorly but with enthusiasm) in high school. Generally, my travels involve cycling (Ragbrai, BRAG, Bourbon Burn) and I have spent time involved with other endurance sports such as marathons, ultras and Ironman triathlons that have led all over the country. I have a gypsy nature and love exploring and trying new things so naturally when my dad sent a link to the Rebelle Rally last year I was intrigued. It definitely had bucket list written all over it. I was also recovering from shoulder surgery at that moment and all my "get outside and play" vibes really needed an outlet. Thankfully, I am fortunate enough to have a village of family and friends that encourage and support these oddball events that catch my interest and after Holly stepped up to be my partner in crime, we were all green lights. I'm looking forward to being a part of this incredible event and having the opportunity to learn what it takes to Rebelle. As Hunter Thompson once said, "Buy the ticket, take the ride". Let's go get lost.
